Guides

You have a lot of great content, but what can I do with it?

You may be wondering, beyond casual reading, how you can best use the articles on A Life in Faith. We have a few ideas that we are happy to share with you. Below are several guides for different situations where you may find our articles of use. It is our hope that you find these guides helpful, enjoy!

Personal Contemplation

Are you seeking a deeper relationship with God? Having a daily period of time reserved for prayer and contemplation and study is one of the best ways to come closer to God. To know Him and to bring Him into our lives. If this is a new concept to you, or you just don’t know how to start, we have a special edition article on developing a daily devotional practice HERE. We have prepared a guide on our suggested way to incorporate our articles into your personal devotion time – each article is only a 3-4 minute read, perfect to read and contemplate after prayer. You can find the guide HERE.

Several people with open Bibles having a group discussionSmall Group Discussions

Are you a participant or leader of a Christian Small Group? Or maybe you are interested in starting one. The articles on A Life in Faith are ideal for an engaging small group discussion. Once you select an article with a relevant topic, share it with your group members – let them read it in advance of your meeting (it’s only a 3-4 minute read). Then discuss the article in your meeting – let the group find ways to put the Bible verse in the article into action and follow-up the next meeting to see the impact. You can find our guide for Christian Small Group Discussions HERE.

Leading a Workshop or Series of Discussionsa man and woman at a meeting table discussing with others off screen. Coffee and note pads on the table. Large windows behind show a nature scene of a pond. The image is evocative of a workshop or discussion group.

Select several articles from our collection and put on a Saturday morning workshop at your Church. Tie it to a breakfast or brown bag lunch. Our guide suggests a general structure, including introductions and ice breakers that should give your about 2 hours of fellowship. You could also add a game or other activity into the mix to make the workshop even more engaging. Or perhaps you want to lead your small group in a series of discussions over several weeks – we have some ideas for that as well. You can find our Workshop guide HERE.
